Lock
Modernization Needs Your Help!
On April 26,
NCGA is encouraging all corn growers to call Senate Majority
Leader Bill Frist and urge him to bring the Water Resources
Development Act to the floor NOW!
The Push from the Planter National WRDA Call In Day is
Wednesday, April 26th
This effort
will send a clear and strong message for the immediate passage
of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), which would
modernize the locks on the Upper Mississippi and Illinois
Rivers.
The Senate
Majority Leader needs to hear from corn growers that lock
modernization is necessary for a strong agriculture economy. It
also is important that corn growers remind their senators of the
importance of lock modernization to agriculture and the need for
their senators to keep pressure on Senator Frist to schedule the
bill for a vote.
